Characteristics/Advantages |
1.As an intravenous general anesthesic, Propofol is widely used in clinical practice, but can only be formulated with fat emulsion for its poor solubility, which resulted in life-threatening infusion syndrome and pain at the injection site
2. As a water-soluble prodrug of Propofol, BPON-03 has similar anesthesic efficacy with Propofol, with reduced possibility of inducing Propofol infusion syndrome and local pain
